Daniel is a Colorado native with a passion for creative and dynamic storytelling.

    Daniel has always had a knack for creative storytelling. As a lifelong film aficionado, Daniel understands the intricacies of telling a compelling story, with a keen eye and a passion for the craft. With almost a decade of experience in filmmaking, from camera operation to editing, sound, music, and even more of the video production pipeline, Daniel can help bring your vision to life.

    A native to Colorado, Daniel loves the rugged mountains and all the adventures they hold. Outside of videography, exploring the high country, whether by jeep or on foot, is his favorite activity.

A History of Creative Storytelling

Out of This World Video Productions was where Daniel got his start. He founded this company in 2014 to go full-time with his video work, allowing him to collaborate with creatives and grow a studio space. The company specialized in creative filmmaking and all elements of the video production process from pre-production to post-production. The company grew exponentially over the years with work ranging from the creative to the commercial. In 2024, Daniel brought aboard Matthew McLaughlin, a local videographer and entrepreneur, as company co-owner and the business flourished, moving into the world of advertising and social media creation. In early 2026, Daniel decided to step away from Out of This World (newly renamed Black Bear Video) to focus more on his core passion; filmmaking and storytelling. His goal, to break into scripted film and tv, using his talents to help tell the stories that reach bigger audiences.

Now working as a freelance filmmaker, Daniel has taken his over-a-decade of experience in video production, and is able to offer a varied set of skills as a jack-of-all trades. From professional cinema camera operation, audio engineering, cinematography, directing and producing projects, professional editing, visual effects and graphic design, and even leading teamwork and collaboration as a past studio owner.

But no matter the project, Daniel still believes that a creative and compelling story lies at the core of everything he does as a filmmaker. And that story is achieved through meaningful collaborations and genuine connection with the audience.
